Mad Mike to unleash his MADMAC McLaren P1 at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival

New Zealand drifting legend Mad Mike Whiddett will make his long-awaited Adelaide Motorsport Festival debut in 2026, bringing his rotary-powered McLaren P1 hypercar, named MADMAC, to the event on February 28 and March 1.
Mad Mike is a global sensation, with the Red Bull-sponsored drifter taking his specially modified cars to events across the world with a large online following. He will bring his wildest drift hypercar to Adelaide, the custom Lanzante-built McLaren P1 GTR, powered by a 1000hp, two-litre, triple rotor, turbo-charged rotary engine.

Mad Mike will unleash MADMAC in a number of on-track demonstrations across both days of the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival - Saturday February 28 and Sunday March 1. Mad Mike and MADMAC will also take part in off-track activations at the event, which will be announced closer to.

Tickets to the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival are on sale now, with early bird pricing available across all ticket types for a limited time only - 2025 prices for 2026.

MADMAC is a venture between Mad Mike, Lanzante, the specialist motorsport company that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995 with a McLaren F1, and luxury car specialist O'Gara Coach Company. Constructed in Mad Mike’s MADLAB workshop in Hampton Downs, New Zealand, the MADMAC is Mad Mike's tribute to legendary New Zealand team owner/driver Bruce McLaren.
The 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again feature various categories, ranging from Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes, drift cars and more with the action non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the day. Off track there will be car displays, kids' zones, bars and food trucks, exhibitors and traders, activations and more, in a picnic in the park setting.
