A MAD RED BULL UNVEILING

Full launch details:

On August 29th after 3months of late night shifts utilizing our TengTools to their full potential, fresh paint and vinyl being plastered all over the shell it was finally time to load our MADBUL into our Optimus Prime transporter and sneak into down town Auckland to unveil the new Red Bull drift machine.

Set amongst the tall buildings of Auckland city the official Red Bull unveiling was truly going to be spectacular. The vehicles were cleared out of the Britomart public car park, barriers were being put in place, lights being wired in all around, turntables and huge sound systems being installed onto our truck tailgate, public, sponsors, friends, fellow drift buddies and family flocking in from all over the country. Yes I was a wee bit nervous as I stood next to MADBUL hidden away in our warm up staging garage - but with the amount of adrenalin and Red Bull pumping through my veins I was ready to unveil MADBUL to the world.

Starting the beast and hearing the exhaust note bounce off the city buildings in central Auckland was just unreal! For the first time I start plucking through the gears with our new HKS sequentional gearbox, I soon realized that with the extra power and torque from the P.P.R.E quad rotor it was irrelevant what gear I picked as it would spark up the 265 Goodyear’s with ease! As I slid my new ride centremeters from the barriers in the carpark it was really hard to focus on how many people were actually there and also where the hell I was heading with all the flood lights beaming into our skid pad and the thick mass of Goodyear smoke filling the air..

After a few minutes we had popped through a set of Goodyear’s and the HKS temperature gauge was bouncing off the redline. A huge thanks to uncle Frank for the commentary and the DJs for keeping the crowd amped with the beats. Stage two – the Red Bull after party!! We then rolled MADBUL down to the VIP after party nearby, Yes the car came indoors for the party too! There was all the Red Bull, Stil Vodka, beer and wine you could drink!!. Huge thanks to everyone who came to support me and witness the unveiling of our drift beast that will take on the world in the highest level of drifting.
