A DREAM COME TRUE…
Generally speaking, the bulk of you fellas out there reading these pages tend to start from the mid teens and head on up. But there are always exceptions. 9-year-old Samuel Clark is also amongst you NZPC-faithful out there, but sadly the young fella suffers from both Crohn’s Disease and Haemophilia.
The fantastic folk over at the Make-A-Wish foundation have been making a number of children’s dreams come true for 20 years now, and Samuel was one of the recent lads to benefit from this. Samuel’s wish was for a new laptop computer, which the Make-A-Wish team had no problems sussing out.
Though the team always like to enhance each wish they make a reality. And as Sam is a big fan of the import scene and both drifting and in particular, Mad Mike Whiddett, the Make-A-Wish crew put the two together. So it came as a complete surprise to Samuel when Mad Mike turned up on the day to present his wish.
And in true Mad Mike style, he turned up sporting one of his custom printed t-shirts to give Sam, and offered to take Samuel on some laps of the circuit in his RX-7 at a future test day. Top stuff both Make-A-Wish and Mad Mike!
