Formula D Japan
Round 2 Win
Mad Mike marched through his battles at Okuibuki over the weekend, exerting a dominance he hopes to carry into the final of Formula Drift Japan at Okayama late next month. A win there could bring him and Team Magic TCP the Championship he has been hunting all year.
It was a slow start to this year when car problems at Suzuka meant no points. From there the team has steadily built momentum. With the win at Okuibuki they find themselves back in the championship hunt, a place they definitely relish being in.
Clear blue skies and warm weather at Okuibuki greeted the drivers that made the Top 32 grid from yesterdays qualifying runs. It's an early start on finals day with the Top 32 hitting the practice session at 8am, having only 50 mins to get their lines established for the days racing.
